What we do
Five services, one crew
From an annual sweep to a full crown rebuild, the same technician scopes it and the same crew does it.
01
Chimney Sweep
A yearly flue sweep that gets ahead of creosote buildup before burning season kicks in.

02
Chimney Cleaning
Beyond the flue itself: hand-cleaning the smoke shelf, ash pit and damper a brush pass skips over.

03
Chimney Inspection
An NFPA-level condition review, including the pre-sale check Marin’s real-estate market routinely requires.

04
Chimney Repair
Masonry, crown, mortar and liner work — the priciest service on the list, and the one hillside terrain and salt air push hardest.

05
Chimney Cap Installation
Cap and spark-arrestor work — a small cost now that heads off a far pricier repair down the line.

The marine-layer reality
What Sausalito’s marine layer does between visits
Sitting right at the mouth of the Golden Gate means a Sausalito crown can stay soaked for hours running, even on a day the forecast never mentions a drop of rain — the marine layer clings to a surface instead of falling and draining off the way a real storm would. A hairline crack that might hold steady for years in a drier inland town gets handed far more wet-hours per year on a harbor-level Sausalito roof, and salt riding in on that same bay air corrodes any exposed metal cap right along with it.
There’s also the wildcard of a mandatory 'Spare the Air' no-burn alert, which the Bay Area Air Quality Management District can call on any wood-burning fireplace across all nine Bay Area counties, Marin included, whenever a winter inversion traps stagnant air — that only stops lighting a fire, not getting the chimney serviced. A stretch like that often ends up being a convenient window to get a sweep or repair scheduled, since the fireplace is sitting idle anyway.
Months spent under marine layer crack a crown faster than a real chance to dry out ever would.
Every visit includes a look at the crown, the flashing and the mortar — not just whatever prompted the call.

Jillian Hodapp
Heavy soot buildups around the chimney exit and the termination cap screen had to be swept away to stop persistent smoky backdrafts on windy nights.
Daniel Rodriguez
Extensive soot discoloration on the fireplace brick ceased after a thorough cleaning that removed a significant draft blockage inside the smoke chamber corbels.
Angela Parker
They had camera gear that allowed us to see the whole vertical flue way. It was good to see that our clay tiles had come throughout the severe winter without breaking.
david gabay
Great service from start to finish! They were professional, on time, and left everything clean. Highly recommend for any chimney work.

From the first call to the write-up
- 1
Call or send the form
Describing what’s going on and which service seems closest gets a confirmed answer back on whether that guess is right.

Any day of the week works for a call, and a time gets locked in that actually fits the property.
- 3
Floor protection first
Coverage goes down before a single brush, vacuum or tool gets anywhere near the firebox.
- 4
The work itself
Whether it’s a sweep, inspection, repair or cap job, the scope gets explained in real time rather than after it’s done.

Written report
A written note covers what got done and anything else noticed, action-worthy or not.
Questions
What people ask before calling
Do you publish a street address?
Nothing to publish there — this operates as a service-area business with no walk-in storefront, consistent with the Google listing. Every job takes place on-site at the customer’s property, somewhere inside the twenty-mile radius out from central Sausalito.
What are your hours?
There isn’t a posted schedule for this location just yet — call {{business.phoneDisplay}} for a direct answer on timing.
Are your Google reviews real?
They are — the complete set of 12 lives on our Google Business Profile untouched, replies attached wherever we posted one, and the link here goes straight to that profile rather than a curated sample.
Do you work on gas fireplaces, not just wood?
Absolutely, though a gas setup gets checked differently — the venting and burner are what matter there, not creosote in a wood-burning flue — so mention which type you have at booking.
What is included in a free estimate?
A look at what you have described, a straightforward scope if the job is simple, or a scheduled inspection first if it needs one — either way, no obligation to book anything on the spot.
Do you serve my city if it is not on the list?
Odds are good, as long as the address sits somewhere inside that roughly twenty-mile circle around central Sausalito — a call gets it confirmed before anything is booked.
Tell us what changed
Tell us what the fireplace is doing that it did not do before, and we will tell you plainly what it needs.
